November 28th 2010 - Predator PDM v9.0.190 is released

Version 9.0.190 of Predator PDM adds support for two new command line variables \VaultItemName and \VaultFullName. Also new enviroment variable support for the temporary cache location has been added. The PREDATOR_TEMP, TEMP and TMP enviroment variables will be used in order with \Windows\temp being used as a fallsafe location. Finally a number of bugs have been fixed with importing and viewing vaults.

Version 9.0.0.16 of Predator DNC improves sending machine messages when search is enabled and fixes a bug with licensing the Predator CNC Editor with a DNC/12.

September 13th 2010 - Predator Software exhibits at IMTS 2010

Predator Software exhibits at IMTS 2010 in Chicago at booth E-4947. The latest in Predator technology will be shown to the metalworking industry. At the show previews of Predator MDC v10 and Predator Virtual CNC v10 were shown. This year over 82,000 visitors attended from arround the world.

August 25th 2010 - Predator Software exhibits at IWF Atlanta

Predator Software exhibits at the International Woodworking Fair in Atlanta Georgia in booth #5225. The latest in Predator technology will be shown to the wood and cabinet industry.

This year at IWF a new company InControlCNC was launched by Roger Taylor a wood and cabinet software industry veteran. InControlCNC is a unique application designed for wood and cabinet manufacturers to simplify CNC operation while adding powerful just in time nesting, machine simulation and bar code operation. InControlCNC has licensed Predator technology to be included within InControlCNC.

July 8th 2010 - Predator MDC v9.0.87 is released

Version 9.0.87 of Predator MDC improves the Average Cycle Time Report and Average Part Time Report with four additional date selections. In addition both reports now include the current shift.

June 2nd 2010 - Predator DNC v9.0.0.12 is released

Version 9.0.0.12 of Predator DNC features new premote utility, new DNC service tray icon and new Fanuc Focas driver installation.

In addition improved machine messages, errors and Fanuc Focas terminator is included in this release.

May 13th 2010 - Predator Virtual CNC v9.0.1.12 is released

Version 9.0.1.12 of Predator Virtual CNC features improved reverse post processing keywords and functions. Fanuc style G65, G66 and G67 style macro support has been improved.

Memory requirements have been reduces to support larger more complex jobs and a number of improvements and bug fixes round out this release.

May 12th 2010 - Predator MDC v9.0.85 is released

May 5th 2010 - 38 New Okuma THINC Apps for Predator Software

At the 2010 Okuma Developer Forum in Charlotte North Carolina Jim Abbassian announced 38 new Okuma THINC Apps.  These new Okuma THINC Apps integrate the top 38 Predator dialogs within the Okuma THINC CNC. Apps for the entire Predator SFC suite including Predator CNC Editor, Predator DNC, Predator DNC Connect, Predator Virtual CNC, Predator MDC, Predator Tracker, Predator Travelers and Predator PDM were demonstrated.

A CNC machinist using an Okuma THINC based CNC machine can leverage the power of Predator applications within the comfort of the Okuma THINC CNC. For example, view actual tools within the tool crib or that are on order via Predator Tracker while setting up an Okuma THINC based CNC machine.

April 30th 2010 - Predator MDC v9.0.82 is released

Version 9.0.82 of Predator MDC improves the percentages within the Productivity Summary Chart when no idle time is shown. Also an Arial font bug was fixed in several reports.

April 23rd 2010 - 38 New SURFCAM Addins for Predator Software

At the 2010 International SURFCAM Dealer Conference in Ventura California Jim Abbassian announced 38 new SURFCAM Addins.  These new SURFCAM Addins integrate the top 38 Predator dialogs within SURFCAM. Addins for the entire Predator SFC suite including Predator CNC Editor, Predator DNC, Predator DNC Connect, Predator Virtual CNC, Predator MDC, Predator Tracker, Predator Travelers and Predator PDM were demonstrated.

A CNC programmer using SURFCAM can leverage the power of Predator applications within the comfort of SURFCAM. For example, view actual tools within the tool crib or that are on order via Predator Tracker while developing a CNC program within SURFCAM.

Pricing for the new SURFCAM Addins are free for existing customers on software maintenance or with the purchase of a new license of Predator.

Other announcements made at the SURFCAM Dealer Conference include SURFCAM SPOST support for the Predator Header. This will simplify backplotting within the Predator CNC Editor and machine simulation and verification within Predator Virtual CNC.

April 21st 2010 - Predator MDC v9.0.79 is released

Version 9.0.79 of Predator MDC improves the real-time slideshow capability with a new full screen option and automatic retry when there is no slide show data. In addition, new PC or Windows user style logon options and APIs for Microsoft Access, SQL and Oracle have been added.  Finally, reprocess data collection errors has been improved to support additional cases and a bug with save as Excel and HTML from the Missing Real-time Data Collection Report has been fixed.

March 20th 2010 - Predator MDC v9.0.76 is released

Version 9.0.76 of Predator MDC improves the real-time slideshow capability with the addition of 3 dashboards for view machines, parts and jobs. Automation files include several parameters to control the dashboard displays. Slideshows can alternate between dashboards or can be co-mingled with one or more charts.

March 19th 2010 - Predator Virtual CNC v9.0.0.70 is released

Version 9.0.0.70 of Predator Virtual CNC features up to 16 times faster machine collision detection performance. This is especially true with machines with trunion style rotary tables. Machine only style simulation performance has been made even faster with speeds of up to 15,000 5 axis blocks per second with standard PCs.

Another major improvement is with a new in-process stock collision detection routine which is now included with Predator Virtual CNC. Additional improvements include enhanced edge detection, improved support for bad STL files and very large STL files.  Finally, performance improvements within the Machine Properties dialog and a new version number option has been added to the HTML based Setup Sheets.

March 12th 2010 - United Launch Alliance installation

Installation of v9 of Predator PDM and v9 of Predator DNC has been completed at United Launch Alliance. ULA is joint venture between Boeing and Lockheed Martin to consolidate the Atlas and Delta rocket programs.

Manufacturing highlights of the new Predator solution include support for a mix of Fanuc, Cincinnati and Fadal CNCs with Ethernet, fiber optics and serial interfaces to all of ULA's Skin Mills, Hemi Mills, VTLs and VMCs. Operation highlights include organization and revision control of all CNC programs and operator instructions within a paperless shop floor environment. Information technology highlights include support for a SAP interface, Oracle 11i, VMware, clustered Windows 2003 servers and floating network licensing running in a highly secure aerospace and government regulated environment.

United Launch Alliance has already seen improvements with faster performance and improved operational control across multiple departments with the tight integration of SAP and Predator Software.

February 26th 2010 - Predator International Reseller Conference

In Las Vegas Predator Resellers from around the world came together for a week of technical and sales training on the entire Predator SFC software suite. A number of new Predator announcements were made and best practices were shared. With the release of v9, all the additional tools and skills learned by all 2010 is looking up. A special thanks to all those who came out to this year's conference.
