Predator Licensing Errors

Predator application licensing may produce the following Predator SIM Wrapper Errors. Should this occur, they can be resolved by following the steps outlined below. If problems persist, contact your local Predator Reseller or Predator Software to help resolve the issue.

Error 0 - No Error or Error 1 - No Driver

To solve the above errors, re-install the Sentinel Protection device driver. The latest version is available for download within the Downloads page.

Error 2 - No SIM

To solve the above error, plug a single Predator USB SIM into a USB port or plug a single Predator Parallel SIM into a parallel port. Multiple Predator SIMs cannot be used on the same PC. One method of verifying a Predator USB SIM is working outside of running a Predator application is to click the following: SIM on the PC with the SIM plugged in.

Error 3 - Bad SIM

To solve the above error, contact your local Predator Reseller or Predator Software for a replacement SIM.

Error 4 - Expired Serial Number and Access Code

To solve the above error, contact your local Predator Reseller or Predator Software for a license extension or permanent license.

Error 5 - Bad Serial Number or Access Code

To solve the above error, step through the following checklist:

  1. Re-install the Sentinel Protection device driver. The latest version is available for download within the Downloads page.
  2. Verify the Predator USB SIM is working outside of a Predator application by clicking the following: SIM on the PC with the SIM plugged in.
  3. Shift+Right Click on the appropriate Predator desktop icon and select Run as administrator
  4. If a UAC prompt asks, Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? Select Yes
  5. Optionally specify Windows administrator credentials and click Ok
  6. The Predator registration/upgrade dialog will appear, if not, the application will start, select Upgrade from the Options menu
  7. Review whether the license codes match the application version. For example, Predator v11 applications require v11 or greater license codes.
  8. Review whether the license codes match the application/desktop shortcut that one is running.

Error 6 - DES Failure or Error 7 - CRC Failure

To solve the above errors, contact your local Predator Reseller or Predator Software for a replacement SIM.

Error 8 - SIM Write, Error 9 - SIM Read or Error 12 - SIM Altered

To solve the above errors, re-install the Sentinel Protection device driver. The latest version of the device driver is available for download within the Downloads page.

Error 10 - Clock Altered or Error 16 - Bad Date or Time

To solve the above errors, restore the PC's correct date and time. To purchase a license or extend a license, contact your local Predator Reseller or Predator Software.

Error 11 - Registry Altered or Error 13 - Bad Registry

The Predator keys in the Windows Registry have been modified or corrupted. To solve the above errors, step through the following:

  1. Use the Predator Licensing Utility to delete the Predator licensing registry entries. The latest version is available for download within the Downloads page.
  2. Run the Predator application as an Administrator and the Upgrade or registration dialog will appear.
  3. Review and re-enter if necessary the license details and click the Ok button and the registry entries will be re-built automatically.

Error 14 - Registry Write

To solve the above error, step through the following:

  1. From the windows desktop Shift+Right Click on the appropriate Predator application icon.
  2. Select Run as administrator.
  3. Complete the upgrade or registration dialog and click the Ok button.

Error 15 - Bad Product

To solve the above error, use the correct Predator license for a matching Predator product. Double check that the correct Predator license is used in the Upgrade or registration dialog. Predator licenses are issued to a specific Predator application. This error is displayed when the Predator license doesn't match any known Predator applications.

Error 17 - Wrong Version

To solve the above error, review the license matches the application version. For example, Predator v11 applications require a v11 or greater license. Specifying a v10 or lower license will create this error. Contact your local Predator Reseller or Predator Software to review Predator licensing.

Error 18 - Wrong Product

To solve the above error, review the license matches the desktop shortcut that one is running. For example, this error will be displayed when a license for the Predator CNC Editor is entered into Predator Virtual CNC. The name of the Predator application is provided with every Predator license. For example, with a Predator CNC Editor license don't click the blue Predator Virtual CNC desktop shortcut to start instead click the orange Predator CNC Editor desktop shortcut to enter the license provided. Predator licenses are issued for specific products and can not be co-mingled. If the wrong license was issued, contact your local Predator Reseller or Predator Software to review.

NOTE: In rare situations, the license must be re-issued with a slight change. Contact Predator Software for a new set of codes.

Error 19 - Already Running

To solve the above error, confirm that the Predator application is not running within another user's session. This can be reviewed within Windows Task Manger.

Error 20 - FLM Server Not Found or Error 23 FLM Not Enabled

To solve the above errors, confirm that the Predator FLM service is running on the appropriate PC or vm. Another possibility is the Ethernet port used for FLM licensing is blocked via a firewall.

Error 21 - FLM No Licenses

To solve the above error, contact your local Predator Reseller or Predator Software to purchase additional licenses. Alternatively, identify other PCs that are currently running Predator applications and close them to release a license.

Error 22 - Unable to Create FLM

To solve the above error, repair or re-install the Predator application via Control Panel | Add Remove Programs. Another possibility is that the .Net framework or other application requirements need to be repaired or re-installed.

Error 500 - Invalid Handle or Error 501 - No Dialog

To solve the above error, repair or re-install the Predator application via Control Panel | Add Remove Programs.
